Phasing Out of Ramadhan

The blessed month was upon us and sinfulness in us had become weak Obedience to our Creator was all our hearts could think to seek Efforts towards our Lord’s Pleasure had become easy for us to grasp This was a Mercy from our Lord since He Had the devils trapped Righteous deeds seemed more beautified while sinfulness as ever hideous Pursuing His obedience had us excited while disobeying Him made us furious The good deeds raised our eeman and we felt closer to our Lord And we felt ashamed in engagement of the life we were living before We felt…

There are witnesses around you whom you cannot see If the angel of death were to appear at that moment, how would you flee? Your Creator (Allah) watches your actions from above you Have shame! Have shame! And strive to be amongst the righteous few Let not this sin degrade and destroy you Verily you have befriended the devil without a clue Life is short so resist and control just a little longer A day will come when…

In Defense of the Veil

I wrote this after a Muslim girl harshly criticized those who CHOOSE to wear the veil among her sisters. I wrote it in their defense and nothing more. As for the “shroud” comment, what I am trying to portray is that why are such girls running after fashion so blindly when at the end of the day your going to be buried in a shroud without makeup or fashionable clothes. We the Muslims bury both men AND women in a plain white shroud.  Therefore, I am speaking to those Muslim girls here who choose not to wear the veil themselves…
